Community Builder Award – Burgess “Bird” Thomas
A special thank you to all who attended the reception at The Center for Contemporary Arts during ArtWalk on Thursday. Abilene Lodge 559 presented their 2017 Community Builder Award to Mrs. Burgess “Bird” Thomas in appreciation for the education and outreach she has performed through her role as The Center’s Art Education Curator. She has touched countless lives in Abilene and the surrounding area, and it was an honor to recognize her for this work.
In addition to the award, Bird was also presented with an original portrait by our own Bro. Chuck Roach, himself an Artist Member of The Center. Abilene 559 held a small reception afterwards.
